The RS88LD Trubass Black Nylon Flatwound Bass Strings were originally developed to simulate a double bass sound on an electric bass. These RotoSound strings made their most famous appearance on top of the 'Apple' building while Paul McCartney was playing his Hofner bass. You will note that the tension is low, making this string extremely comfortable to play.

The black nylon strings are incredible

By Chad Grimes

from Lebanon, Pa.

Comments about Rotosound RS88LD Trubass Black Nylon Flatwound Bass Strings:

These strings are incredible. I play a Samick HFB-590 Hollow body Bass Guitar and the black nylon strings makes my hollow body bass guitar sound like an upright bass. You also do not get the annoying string squeaks that roundwound strings create.

Bass Guitar musician

By Gilbert

from Montana

Comments about Rotosound RS88LD Trubass Black Nylon Flatwound Bass Strings:

If you want to save your fingers and still have a good bass sound, then these are the strings to use. The nylon reduces the metalic click on the frets that comes with flat wound or round wound metal strings and the zing you get when sliding on a round wound string. I have used the Rotosound Nylon wound strings on several different brands of bass guitars and have had really good results when doing my set-ups and intonation. They have become my 1st choice bass strings.
