Every time i order a new guitar, i put one of these in the cart with it. Ive had other straps slide off the button, with this its no longer an issue.

This review is for the Planet Waves 2-inch polypropylene Planet Lock guitar strap. The strap is very well-made, yet inexpensive; it should last for decades. This is my first experience with a locking strap. It works great! My 30-year-old guitar strap had developed a tendency to let go of my Stratocaster (at the most annoying times). This strap would not work with my Ovation acoustic-electric guitar due to insufficient clearance at the the front strap button. You need at least 2-1/2 inch total clearance (1-1/4 inch clearance from the center of each strap button on each side). The strap is narrow and not padded; therefore, it becomes a little uncomfortable to wear after about 30 minutes (with the weight of a Stratocaster).

This strap does not fit all guitars. Does not fit an Alvarez accustic, that's for sure. The plastic locking ends are so wide, that it will not fit if your pins are close to the guitar neck. The invoice says "not returnable"...now what?

This is the best locking strap I've purchased because it does exactly what it says: it locks onto and strap pin -- no special pins needed. Great strap to have if you move around a lot while you play.
