A sophisticated stand for your sophisticated equipment.
The On-Stage Stands Mix-400 mixer stand's metal platform can adjust to fit any autolocator, drum machine, or digital audio workstation between 14-1/2" and 21-1/2" long and 12" to 15-1/2" wide. Double-spine gears with radial grooves allow the adjustable head to swivel in any position from fully horizontal to nearly vertical. Use the Mix-400 standing or sitting--the center shaft adjusts the height from 28" to 38" and can be friction-locked into place. High-impact plastic 5-leg base with fully lockable casters ensures the stand (and your equipment) will stay put. The Mix-400 breaks down into 3 pieces for simple storage and easy portability.

Cannabalized Taiwan Furniture - Waiting for better
Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:
Currently using with Zoom R16. Center shaft OD (outer diameter) is not a tight fit at the base nor at the top swivel, thus the whole thing wobbles and leans like Tower of Pisa. The knobs for adjusting the width of the book-ends are too short and flat that they are hard to turn unless you use it at max width. I fixed the latter by buying some metric coupling adapters so as to lengthen the knob far and away from the knuckle busting proximity of the swivel joint, and I fixed the wobble by buying some aluminum flashing at local hdwr store, made some shims, jammed and trimmed until it was a perfect fit and no wobble, painted exposed flashing with black sharpy.
' Mix ' could have included some plastic shims and longer knobs, but it seems they were content in cannabalizing a draftsman's desk swivel joint and mating it to a cheap office chair base. However, I don't think I would have faired better performance wise or cost wise making my own; but at 150 bucks, I thought about it using a small draft table and velcro-ing my rigs to it. Humm? I would have had some extra surface area to put my sheet music down too.
If you can get this used/scratched for half as much, and trust its flimsiness to hold your expensive rig, perhaps you can live with its minor flaws

Mixer Stand as a Computer Stand
Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:
When I play my guitar I like to use my 17.3" laptop as a helping tool. The problem I had was I could not have my laptop by my side as I make my recordings. Having this stand I can roll it right next to me and be able to man the computer. Yes, the stand is built for a mixer but it works great for a laptop. Great idea, huh?! Genius!!!

Just what I needed
Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:
It puts the mixer right where I need it, up at the right height, so I can be on stage and make adjustments as the gig goes on. I use it without the wheels because I don't especially need them, but I can see where they would come in handy with a heavier mixing board. It has all the adjustments I'll ever need. My Behringer XENYX 1222USB mixer sits right on top, easily fitting into the smallest size this stand can accomodate. Great price too!

Bought it for Tascam FW1884
Comments about On-Stage Stands Mix-400 Audio Mixer Stand:
The FW1884 doesn't quite fit the MX-400. The deck is a tad wide so the fit is not wholly secure. I used "Industrial Strength" velcro (no really!) to secure the mixer to the stand. Holds like a champ (you can lift the mixer and the stand comes with it)! The stand it self is great quality! The five wheel setup (like Shaker office chairs) is very stable. The height/ angle adjustments are nice for different situations. And my wife loves that I can move it out of the way. (I use my living room for recording; can't wait to rebuild the garage).
