Mega Bass or Mega Axe, Depending on the Length You Need
Comments about Neotech Mega Bass Strap:
This is a great strap for any guitar, and definitely if it is a heavy one. Both the Mega Bass and Mega Axe straps are identical except for the front heavy leather tongue which is 3" on the Mega Bass and 8" on the Mega Axe. That difference also makes the Mega Axe strap 5" longer at 56" rather than 51". (The Mega Banjo strap's leather tongue appears to be around 4" plus it includes a smaller adjustable strap, making it even longer.)
The reason I mention all three straps is that you may find that one works with your particular scenario better than the other, even though it might be labeled for a different instrument. Case in point, I decided to go with the Mega Axe strap with my bass guitar, so that I could get that 8" in the front tongue and subsequent same 5" in extra overall length, which did turn out to be a smooth move. (I wear my bass more vertical than the typical on-your-chest horizontal method and it subsequently hangs a bit lower.)
Once you hang your guitar over your shoulder, you will discover that your strap is now 2" or 3" longer than you thought, due to the stretch, but once it is hanging you won't find it doing much more streching after that. (I was concerned that my bass would be bouncing up and down as if hanging on bungee cords, but that hasn't been the case, after all.) After you initially get your strap length set, it will be the right length from then on, just like with a non-stretching strap, so you won't have to keep making adjustments every time you put it on.
If I have any complaints, it is only that the neoprene can be hot to wear, though that could be said about most any strap, and particularly the wide ones. I also discovered that the neoprene was slightly rough on my bare shoulder since I am often playing without a shirt on, at home. I was able to adequately compensate for both issues by making a sleeve out of a bandana, which is both cooler and smoother on the skin. It also absorbs the sweat nicely and then dries out quickly when I take a break.
Again, these are great straps and though they won't make your guitar lighter, they will sure make you think they did. You will find that you can play more comfortably, or play even longer before your shoulder tells you it needs a break. (I also posted a review under the Mega Axe strap, which might answer another question or two, if you want to check it out.)

It really does make your bass feel like it is 50% lighter
Comments about Neotech Mega Bass Strap:
Took it out of the box and ran to a four hour stand-up rehearsal for a variety show. My long-scale, five string DeArmond Pro Bass really did feel about half as heavy, even after the long rehearsal. Very comfortable and it doesn't slide around on your shoulder. Only problem I had was getting the ends over the strap buttons the first few times. That's probably a good thing because I don't use straplocks.

The only way to fly...
Comments about Neotech Mega Bass Strap:
As far as I am concerned this strap is the only way to go if you have a heavy instrument. It is extremely comfortable and allows me a couple of additional abilities that other straps do not, Buy it, you'll like it.

The Back Saver
Comments about Neotech Mega Bass Strap:
Normally, the day after band practice or a gig, my left shoulder is sore and my back hurts. I play a Lakland 5 string bass and its pretty heavy. The day after using this strap for the first time at practice for a few hours, there was no soreness or back hurt at all. Amazing. And it feels great to wear. Its slightly stretchy, which acts like a shock absorber, so there is no impact on the shoulder/back. Awesome. Get it.

Excellent
Comments about Neotech Mega Bass Strap:
I bought this strap to help distribute the weight on my shoulder and neck and make my instruments easier to sling for long periods. I've got some back/neck issues and find that the choice of strap makes the difference between being able to gig and not. This strap seems designed to do what it says, minimize pressure and fatigue! An excellent product!
