I have bought these two stands as addition to the Behringer UB1222FX / Harbinger APS15 PA Package. The stands have good quality, but screw on boom is not compatible with Behringer microphone's holders. It is not compatible as well with other two holders I have. I am not able to find right adapter in any local store. Probably, that is a reason while this holder was so deeply discounted.

Seems good so far. Not super heavy duty, but for the price you probably can't beat it. It will likely last a long time if used for practice and not constantly folded and set-up. All of the sdjustments work just fine. If you gig alot, I'm not sure if this would last long for you or not. Maybe it would. only time will tell. At this price I would recommend it. If you need heavy duty, spend a little more.

Low quality fittings

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

The collars and clutch are plastic. My stand arrived with the collar for the telescoping part of the boom broken into about 5 little pieces. This product couldn't possibly survive stage use. Assuming it arrived undamaged, it would be ok for home or practice where it will get set up once and left alone.

What I Expected

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

I was fully aware that in buying a mic stand at this price, it wouldn't be the highest quality. It's a little shaky at the arm but it works great just for a stationary recording mic. If you just need a stand to keep at home or record with, there's no reason not to purchase this one.

Super duper for price

By PikeyWhistler

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

I have previously purchased the other super-cheap microphone stand, the OnStage. Of those two, one has already (within six months) stripped out the main locking nut that determines boom height and locks boom from moving side to side. Both of the OnStage stands also have their tripod feet dangle when folded up, which means I have to rubber-band them down when transporting.

This stand, however, is FAR more solidly built. The telescoping boom helps where stage space is a little more tight. The tripod legs have access to a tightening mechanism, so you can prevent the legs from dangling when you move the stand. Cool.

Absolutely can't be beaten at this price.

Great Value

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

Can't beat this price .. overall impressed with the quality, I actually expected something less sturdy ... however the height adjustment knob (plastic) was stripped when I got it ... it was easier for me to use a clamp to hold it in place than to send it back ... But lets be real ... it was $20 bucks, its holds the mic where i need it ... i'd buy another one.

Ask me a question

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

I have just set this stan up and was pleased with the feel. It is more substantial than the price woul suggest an has full features. I don't know the design of the Behringer mic clip, but this stan is ine for my Shure amd Beyer clips.

Priced right...

By Greg Gemmill

from Coldwater, Michigan

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:

This is really a great stand for the cash. I'm not sure how long it would hold up, playing every night, but I've got it set up in my practice room, and it works great. A quality piece of equipment for a low price.
