Great price, excellent product, sharp quick order and delivery. I'm very impressed with 123 music and have passed the word. Couldn't have been any happier with my order from start to finish.

Good replacement boom arm for seated performances

By Will

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Musician's Gear Telescoping Boom:

Most of my mike stands had the standard-sized, non-telescoping boom arm, which is designed for standing performers. However, when seated in a chair (not a bar stool), the boom arm has to be mounted almost perpendicular to the stand, and the boom arm takes up a lot of room. So, I bought this telescoping boom arm as a replacement for an existing stand, and it works very well as both a short and extended boom.

It's worth what it's worth

By Knodding Off Music

Comments about Musician's Gear Telescoping Boom:

I took a chance on these booms and got what I paid for. They do an excelent job overhead for drums and fiddle players as long as you keep the mic under a couple of ounces. I hung an AKG Preception 200 off of one and I thought it was going to snap. I couldn't get the piviot clutch tight enough to keep it in place. The laws of physics haven't changed I guess. I mic'd a choir with them using some AT 853x's and they did very well. If you need to reach out and record some one with a shockmounted condenser your gonna need a more substancial boom.
