I read a lot of reviews on this case and I saw some reveiws said there basses didn't fit and others said the neck rest is made of foam and wore out in a few months and didn't support the neck right anymore and the bass was sliding around inside. Others said they had no problems and for the money you couldn't beat the price. So I took the chance and purchased the black case. I must say it is not the best case out there but it will protect your bass and for the price you can't beat it. My SR 300 Ibanez fits and I have a Araina P bass which is a look a like copy of the Fender P bass and that fits too. Both are 4 string basses. The neck rest seems it will only hold 4 string basses due to the more narrow neck. The neck rest is made of foam but I don't have the case that long yet to see if the foam will hold up.The body compartment has a little room to spare and the body slides around a little. I found if you leave your strap on and fold it up in between the inner case wall and body it makes for a tighter fit. The latches and hinges are not top Quality but should last awhile. Bottom line most Gig bags cost about $30-$40. Even though this case is not Top Quality it will protect your bass much better than a gig bag and should last a long time if you take care of it. This case is not meant to be thrown around. I decided to post the measurements of the inner case since there was no specs on the dimensions and because of the reviews of others that said there bass didn't fit This is the dimensions of the black case I got. My body compartment is 14"wide X 21 1/2" long. The total length of the case is 48" long. The neck rest groove is 2 1/2" wide. The hidden storage compartment is 9" x 14" and the upper compartment is 14"x 14". I don't recommend sitting, standing of even piling other things on top of this case. The outer walls do not seem that strong and will crack. This case will take care of your bass if you take care of the case.

Case does protect the bass, I will agree with that. There is something very irritating about having to fix or repair something that is brand new. I had to repair the dividers in the interior of the case, the screws that go into the framework of the compartment dividers actually missed, so I had to fix those. Also, a lot of the lining was loose inside the case, there was no glue applied to hold it. The carrying handle needs to be moved more toward the center of the case, as it is, the case is heavy on the front end as you carry it, a little awkward to carry. I bought the case on sale, a great deal, and it does protect my bass, so it is what it is. Thanks

Great case for the price!
Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:
Fits my MIM Fender Jazz perfect. Nice overall, latches kinda cheezy. Made in China (what isn't nowadays?), but not bad. Overwhelming smell of adhesive when first opened the case - had to let it air out for a while.
I'd buy another if I wind up with another caseless bass.

Tweed model deluxe case
Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:
Pretty good case overall. Especially for the money. One drawback though, it doesnt have the 4 latches as pictured on the Tweed model in their advertisement, it only has 3 like the cheaper black model. So just a little false advertising. That was one of the reasons I paid a bit more for the Tweed model. Guess I coulda stayed with the black for cheaper.

Review of the Deluxe Bass Case.
Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:
This is an inexpensive hard case and there are some things that are noticeably built cheap. For example, the hinge(s) for the storage compartment is the fur lining cloth; so the lid wiggles around a bit. But, it works, it is a decent product, it protects my bass, and I am happy with it.
The was the cheapest way I found to get a hard case, and I will do it again if I need another one.
This one is black. I also have one in tweed. I couldn't justify the extra money for tweed this time. I figured for 10 bucks more for the tweed, who cares if it black -- it protects my bass the same regardless of the color.
If I want a tough case, I will buy another SKB molded TSA case. I have one of those too. I love it. I just can't afford more of them and for just going around town, this works fine.

Great Case Value!
Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:
I bought this case for my wife for her Dean bass. The case is well made and the bass fits very well. It is not a top of the line case, but this case is a heck-of-a-value for the price! Cheers!

Bass Case
Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:
The case itself is pretty good. . .you have to pay attention to the size of your guitar otherwise you might have to move the inside compartment around. . .like i had to. . .the compartment isnt all that hard to move if you have the patience. . .other than that the case is perfect
