It isn't just about flexibility, it's about bending the note 'til it rings true.

Gauges 11-13-23-28-38-47

Martin SP Flexible Core strings have a thin, but strong core wire and a thicker wrap wire, which allows them to be flexible and easy on the fingers while holding standard tension. SP Flexible Core strings feel soft to the touch, making them ideal for beginners. But don't be fooled by comfort! Just ask Tommy Emmanuel, who performs with Martin's SP Flexible Core strings night after night. With SP Flexible Core, you get total flexibility and total control.

Very clear, crisp, rich sound from these strings that play so soft. Super easy on the fingers without sacrificing tone.

Comments about Martin FX130 Silk and Phosphor Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings replaced a set of Fender phosphor bronze mediums. I was worried I'd be trading my volume, sustain and tone in for comfortable playing. I had nothing to worry about.

I'm not entirely sure if these strings are quieter at all, or just seem slightly quieter because the attack is less brash and more pleasant. These strings have plenty of volume and sustain, with a balanced, warm tone. On the whole, my guitar sounds better than it ever has.

Taking the flexibilty and ease of playing into account, this was a total upgrade. The action of my guitar is on the high side and these strings make it much easier to handle.

        My New Favorite Strings

Comments about Martin FX130 Silk and Phosphor Acoustic Guitar Strings:

So comfortable, both on the finger tips and strumming hand. Sound SOOOOOOO mellow, not tinny at all. They are inspiring for a hobbyist songwriter. I can't wait to hear them when I record. Guitar - Martin DXME.
