Produce the natural tones and warmth of acoustic instruments!

The small L.R. Baggs Gigpro preamp clips to your belt loop and works with almost any type of pickup or mini-mic eliminating the need for active circuitry (and batteries) on your prize guitar. Its Class A input, adjustable gain, and quasi-passive EQ are modeled after the ever-popular Para Acoustic DI. The Gigpro will make any pickup sound better and put fingertip control of your sound right at your side.

LR Baggs preamp

By Bob Eskew

Comments about LR Baggs Gigpro Acoustic Guitar Preamp:

I use this preamp with my standup bass and it works great! I like the compact size. I attached it to the tailpiece and I use it with a passive fishman pickup. Once the the settings are right it really brought my bass alive. I would recommend this preamp to anyone!

So- so satisfaction

By Frank Elliott

Comments about LR Baggs Gigpro Acoustic Guitar Preamp:

Been wanting a guitar volume control to wear on my belt; and finally bought the Gig Pro. It states that it has a wide latitude of gain, and can plug into just about anything. Well the tube amp I connected to requires about 3/4 volt to drive the amp to full output. The Gigpro with turned up gain, and volume to the max, is just barely audible...so it doesn't drive this one tube amp. I will try some other things to see if I can get more oomph out of this device-like try another amp-and if I do, I will come back and edit-and write a more glowing review. I do wish it had more gain. It ought to put out a full volt at least. Incidentally, the acoustic guitar is outfitted with an L.R. Baggs internal powered pickup...both units with new 9 volt battery.
