Cutting-edge passive pickups with huge sonics and totally unique look.
Radical Lace Alumitone electric guitar pickups have less resistance and higher output with clear, big frequency response in a completely noise-free passive design. Constructed with aluminum rather than copper, Lace humbuckers have a current-driven design as opposed to conventional voltage-based pickups.
The Lace Alumitone humbucker's aluminum water jet cut exoskeleton is mated with a micro-winding using 90% less copper wire than traditional designs. The result is an extremely lightweight and efficient pickup for your guitar. Sonically, Lace Alumitone pickups have more volume, more bass, and more mids with nice, clear, smooth high-frequency response that cuts.
Lace accompanies the Alumitone humbucker with a 3-inch mini data CD with all its latest wiring diagrams in color along with Lace's most current pickup and guitar catalogs. You also get a warranty card and other useful information about Lace Music Products.

Comments about Lace Alumitone Humbucker Electric Guitar Pickup:
There is no specified neck or bridge position of this pickup, and this could be part of the reason i knocked off a star. it has been made to have more low mids and low end than a normal alumitone pickup, which is why i only got it for one position, not both (i have the lace hemi humbucker in the bridge position) it's certainly a novel idea for a design, and it works well. not a miracle, your guitar still sounds like a guitar, but i suppose that's more or less the point. it doesn't add or subtract anything to the guitar. it sounds good clean, and distorted. so far i've only used it for blues, jazz, and rock, but i'm pretty sure this thing could do metal too. it's not microphonic like the lace hemi pickup. i diddn't mention on the review of the hemi pickup (because i only have that one for bridge position) but lace seems to have a problem with the length of the leads coming from their pickups. you may need jumpers, but if you have extra wire laying around, it works great. i'd suggest it to anyone looking for a good pickup this price range, or perhaps above. i've had no problems, but the output is probably a bit low for those seeking extreme levels of front end distortion, but i suppose you could get that with a boost stompbox (rather than spending your money on a pickup with lots of string pull from overpowered magnets, or bad microphonics from being overwound)
