Decent Capo

By David Cohoe

from Undisclosed

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo for 12-String Guitar:

Capo does what it's supposed to do. It's easy to adjust, and works well.
The only thing I had a problem with is that my high E and B get a little bit of fretbuzz and it takes some adjustment to find the sweet spot. Overall, reliable, functions as it's supposed to.

Great for wide 6-string necks as well

By DC-HHr12

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo for 12-String Guitar:

I have a Martin OM16 that I play in DADGAD tuning for Irish/Celtic music, and has what's considered a wide neck...especially the farther you get up the neck. I've been using Shub and Kyser 6-string capos, but several tunes require me to capo on the 8th and 9th frets, and the Shub just doesn't work very well that high up the neck. The Kyser works, but it's a chore to position it just right, so the high D string is covered. Most of the time I have to slightly push the high D string up just before letting go of the release on the Kyser. But this puts the high D string a bit too close to the high A string for my liking. The Kyser 12-string capo has solved the problem, and works great. Not just for 12-strings!DC

Not bad but could use some adjusting

By Eric-g3sdl

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo for 12-String Guitar:

I find this product does not work very well with the majority of my 12 string guitars without some minor adjusting. On stage this can be a problem because it can look very unprofessional to keep making adjustments while people wait. Typically as with any 12 string capo I have come across it has trouble with the E (12th) string and causes some buzzing as well as some minor buzzing with the A (10th). That being said...in a recording environment it works great (because you have time to adjust) and is easier to use then most other capos. I would recommend this brand for recreational guitarists. For 6 strings it is one of the best capos on the market!

the best capo on the market for a 12 string acoustic guitar

By Jonny Rickenbacker

from Muskegon, Michigan

Comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo for 12-String Guitar:

Believe me I've tried them all. Shubbs etc. etc. But this is the best for the buck. Quick change is exactly what it is, and it never knocks the guitar out of tune and the intonation never goes out. Great for use in "live" performances when changing keys quickly is most needed. Buy this for your 12 string and you will never go back to what you were using. I guarantee it. I rest my case.
