Nice product

By Bob Knight

Comments about Kyser Banjo/Mandolin Capo:

I had avoided using the spring-clamp style of capo for my entire career - don't know why - they just seemed cheesy. But when I got called to do a bluegrass tune in Ab, it was just too much. So I broke down and went looking. Unfortunately, I first bought one that has you bringing the capo up to the back of the neck, fastening a bar in place over the fretboard and then tightening the tension with a large screw in the back. This type of capo, however, gets in the way of your reaching around and playing full chords, so that was a waste of time. Happily, the Kyser gets in the way much less than this type of capo. It does interfere a small amount with your movement behind and beside it, but not nearly as much as the other type. I can't really imagine it doing much better a job than it does, so I give it 4 stars.

Good for Ukes too.

Comments about Kyser Banjo/Mandolin Capo:

This is the second of these I've bought for a ukulele; they are easy to use, don't get in the way of your hand or wrist when you're forming the odd chord, and last forever. Love it!

it works

By Cody A.Taylor

from Pennsyvannia

Comments about Kyser Banjo/Mandolin Capo:

I've been using it for a bit on my mandolin. Now there's a cut a from the the spring. Other than that, it does it's job nicely. I don't know if it's from my mandolin or the capo but from the 6th fret up it has it a more of a 'Bling-Blang' sound. The capo doesn't seem strong enough to noticeably knock it off tune. If your not careful the capo can take the strings off the side of the neck. Works fine if you don't need to use it all the often.
