I replaced the original speaker in my Crate practice amp with this. It fit perfectly and I was amazed at how much better it may this little practice amp sound.

Replaced two blown speakers in my practice amp with these puppies and they sing. Very ballsy low to midrange bite that is surprising for an 8 inch speaker. Great punch at low volume and clean clear tone even when pushed. For the money, these are hard to beat.

I play rhythm guitar on an LP with vintage humbucker PU's and wanted some clear punchy speakers for an extension cabinet.
I put (2) C8R 4ohm speakers in a 1'x2' cabinet with a vented back and got very good tone and volume from my 15W "British" amp.
The Jensen C8R is the same speaker found in the Fender "Champ" series.
The lows are clear, but rounded and resonant. The mids are more present for chords. The highs are chiming and bright but not shrill sounding. Very even across all strings.
I get very clean chords and nice, fuzzy, vintage distortion. (British amp)
These would be great for single coil pickups and any style of music.

These are way cool. I put them in a Mesa cab with 8" Celestions that were shot. I never heard what the originals sounded like, but these are tight, punchy, and totally solid.

The C8r's are great speakers. If you're looking to upgrade an old practice amp, the C8R 's will amaze you. For such a little speaker these things really crank!

I replaced the stock speakers in my Hot Rod Deville 4x10 with 2 Jensen P10's and 2 Jensen C10's staggered diagonally; and what a difference it made. Great Vintage tone! I wanted my Fender G-Dec Junior practice amp to have a more vintage tone also so I replaced the muddy sounding stock speaker with this Jensen C8R and like the review with the G-Dec 15, I got a crisper vintage tone with quite a bit more volume. I had 2 G-Dec Junior's side-by-side and compared them thru all the positions with controls set identically. In all cases the volume was higher and the tone was more crisp and clear and far less muddy. Great speaker for the money. Really made the little G-Dec sound like a bigger amp.

Great speaker! Replaced the original speaker in my Fender G-Dec 15 because it just couldn't produce a good sound above 4 on the volume control. The Jensen C8R lets you turn up the volume until it hurts your ears without any distortion or loss of tone quality. Definitely recommend!
