The Heil Sound PL-2T overhead boom uses a system of perfectly balanced internal springs rather than the unsightly, mechanically unstable outboard springs used on booms of much lesser quality. Handles microphones up to 3-1/2 pounds in weight.
Remove the top and back plates to thread the mic cable inside the boom with ease. No more cable connectors to remove and replace! Ships with a standard C-clamp mount.
The PL-2 accepts industry standard 5/8" threaded mic clips or shockmounts. The chrome threaded stem can be locked into place depending upon the exact type of microphone or shockmount.

Am using the PL-2T Studio Arm in my newly constructed vocal booth. The adjustable C clamp mount works well and holds arm securely in place. Have used with 11 different mics and handles all well from heavy to lite. The mic cable runs through arm and is hidden. Works very well and keeps mic where you want it.

I needed something to help keep my small studio organized and this was the perfect solution. I am able to have one less floor stand to get in the way. I mounted this boom on the wall next to my performance space and I love it! It puts the mic right where I need it and I can easily get it out of the way when I don't. It hides the cord and operates smoothly and quietly.
