GT exclusive design high-performance 6L6 Black Plate with heat sink wings like the GT E34LS and KT88SV. Very strong, smooth, and linear. Fantastic in Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Deville, etc.

Country of origin: China

Soft, medium, and hard style descriptions refer to break up modes of the tube for an overdriven guitar signal. Soft-rated tubes break up easier and have the least headroom, yielding a heavier, harder distortion. In comparison, hard-rated tubes break up easier and have the least headroom, yielding a heavier, harder distortion, while medium-rated tubes fall in between.

Features

A great replacement tube for you guitar amp!

Kickazz!

Comments about Groove Tubes Gold Series GT-6L6-CHP Matched Power Tubes:

Nice balance of headroom and breakup. Even real clean they don't sound sterile like a lot of other 6l6 tubes do. These are great in a Twin, really opens up the tone of the amp and balances it better than the regular GTs I had in there before. There really is a big difference in the gold series, but they aren't cheap! How good can you afford to sound is the question I guess. Still a lot cheaper than looking for vintage NOS tubes in good shape. These still sound very close to the old RCAs they're modeled after without totally breaking the bank.
