Gibson

The kind of pickup your mom warned you about!

The Gibson Tony Iommi Guitar Pickup is the same humbucker that Tony Iommi uses in his Signature Gibson SG to give Black Sabbath its legendary sound. Unique pickup design delivers heavy punch, balanced lows, blistering mids, and razor-edged highs. Patented magnet configuration and special wire winding ensure maximum sustain; wax and epoxy potting prevent unwanted feedback. Gibson uses 4-conductor wiring in the Tommy Iommi Pickup to make it adaptable for any desired wiring design.

Comments about Gibson Tony Iommi Guitar Pickup:

I mounted this pickup on a Epiphone which I bought as my 2nd guitar but it sounded a little poor for my tastes. I have to say the 498t have a nice crispy sound and a killer sustain. Playing with the tone controls you can obtain a very wide choice of sounds. If you need a hot bridge pickup, and you're not looking for a terrific metal tone, this is the one for you.
