BEST EVER

By Lesa

Comments about GHS David Gilmour Signature Blue Set Electric Guitar Strings:

My son said that these strings were EXACTLY what he has been trying to put together himself for a long time. He had been using Red Devils and other various strings trying to get a certain sound, but these strings were PERFECT for the sound he wants. He will never use other strings again!

The Best String Gage Combo For 10's

By MG_Blues

Comments about GHS David Gilmour Signature Blue Set Electric Guitar Strings:

I've tried just about every electric guitar string out there on my Fender guitars, and in my view GHS strings sound the best. GHS strings produce a sweet well rounded sound and a bit of a mid range boost without harsh high frequency "ice pick" tone that some of the other famous brands can produce. Tone wise all five positions of the pickup selector switch are more usable than ever. They retain their tone after many hours of playing and seem to be very durable. In my view GHS upped the game with David Gilmour's gage preference which is really what these strings are all about. I do a lot of string bending and tremolo, and the 0.001" down gauge from a normal set of 10's for the second and third string makes a BIG difference. It's almost 3 lbs of string tension! The 4th, 5th, and 6th strings are 0.002" up gauged from a normal set of 10's very nice tone! This combination is the perfect balance for a 25.5 scale length guitar such as Tele's and Strat's. I'm sort of a tone freak and I'm always looking for a way of tweaking my tone. These are the only strings I now use on all of my Fender's. Play a Gibson? No problem, check out the GHS DG Red pack.

Very Cool!

Comments about GHS David Gilmour Signature Blue Set Electric Guitar Strings:

First of all, I love these strings. Before I found these, I used DR regular 10 gauge. These strings make it amazing to bend on the high strings, and give awesome tones because of the extra thickness on the low strings. You can get very fat tones out of these. Excellent gauge combination. I love these strings

Will buy these again.

Comments about GHS David Gilmour Signature Blue Set Electric Guitar Strings:

I actually bought these not because of David Gilmour, (even though I do like Pink Floyd and would love to learn some of their songs) but it was the gauge combo I was looking for; I kind of have the Toni Iommi thing going on were I lost a finger tip and need less tension on the strings now to play. I use these on a guitar that stays tuned down one full step and the tension and string resonance is just right now. Thier tone is semi-bright. I have not had any problem with breakage. I'm not sure how long they last but I prefer to change strings often anyway so that is not a concern for me.
