Great Demo Kit
Comments about Gator GR Deluxe Rack Case:
I mounted a 1U PBX, 1U Ethernet Switch and a 1U router and now I have a PBX in a box that I can install any place in 15 minutes. I still have 1U for expansion or air flow. I love these rugged little cases.

Good Rack for the money
Comments about Gator GR Deluxe Rack Case:
This is a great, sturdy feeling rack. I like that it has rails in the front and back - I use the rear rails and some zip ties to keep my cables organized. I had a plywood rack prior to this, and I love how light this rack (a 12 space) is for me even when loaded up. One thing I didn't think about was that this was that it's a little flexible, so I started racking things from the bottom up. B the time I got to the middle, it was bowed out a little and my stuff wouldn't fit. No problem, I had to loosed the screw on the stuff I already racked and then squeeze the middle of the rack together - that would be easier with two people. Also, the lids have a catch on the bottom, so you have to pull them down to take them off, and come at the rack from below to put the lids on. This is kind of annoying if you have the rack sitting on the floor and it's heavy, but it's not impossible to deal with. Everything has it's issues, and I am willing to accept the annoyances in exchange for a good quality inexpensive rack.

Good rack but...
Comments about Gator GR Deluxe Rack Case:
I was expecting the same rack I had ordered a year ago or so but this one is different. The latches are secured to the sides of the rack itself. The original style had them attached to the lids. They were out of the way once you removed the lids. The tabs they added for this locking model are a hassle if you have a few racks stacked one on top of another. If you are not holding on to it when you undo the latches it will fall straight down and wipe out any slider switch settings directly below it. Maybe I just have to get use to it. They did improve on the way you attach the rack screws. This is a great idea. Still, they need to lose the locking mechanism.
