I'm a professional guitarist with 50 years experience playing. Recently, my wife bought me a new acoustic for Christmas. The problem? It didn't have a pickup. I caught this at a great price. Even with that, it wouldn't be a great deal if the pickup sounded like garbage. Well, I can happily report that I find this pickup to have very natural sound with very little single coil buzz. There is some hum, of course. It is a single coil pick up after all. But even recording in front of my computer monitor, I found the hum to be very low and acceptable. I haven't used it on stage yet, but see no problems doing so. Installation on my Great Divide OM was easy. I didn't even have to take off the strings. Fishman definitely has a winner on it's hands with this one.

I expected some hum from a single-coil but YIKES! I can't even use this thing. I have Strats, Telecasters etc. so I can deal with a reasonable amount but this thing's a serious dud.

I've got a Martin D-15 and did not want to lose the beautiful sound it omits, but also wanted to be able to record and play at a live event. I went to Fishman to help it out and it delivered! It provides a rich sound, not losing the tone what-so-ever. Amazing.
