These are great pickups, but Abigail does not initial them anymore, despite what the web site says. I ordered one set and returned them for that reason. Even after the sales rep included a note asking Shipping to inspect the replacement set to be sure the initials were there, the replacement arrived...without initials. So I gave up and kept them.

I really like these a lot. Great reach on highs and lows. Interesting sonic signature too, but will be giving them a workout for ages additionally. Very nice sound anyhow. Don't have experience with Abigail built pickups (just this set so far) (i think) but these really impressive. Pickups are a hard call sometimes, very much up to the user. I've had tons that I'd liked but would pass up to work with others instead too. Think if they weren't their thing, anyone could hang onto these anyway without regrets. Anyhow these sound very nice to me, will be getting many years of enjoyment and sonic work out of these.

I bought these and out them in my Deluxe Player's Strat and they sound awesome. They're not for everyone though but if you want classic strat sound these are for you.

I put these Custom 69s in my Mexican Strat. These pickups really sound great. There is a very nice thump in the bass strings when playing on the neck pickup and all positions have a very noticeable difference in the tones. My son borrowed this guitar from me after I bought these pickups because he has an acoustic simulator on his amp and he loved the tones he got out of it in a practice session. Everyone has a certain sound they are looking for and for me these pickups really cover a wide variety of tones from Bluesy tones to glassy bell like tones.
