These are amazing pick ups. I bought a Squier Strat (Cherryburst finish - awesome looking) and the previous owner had replaced the stock Squier PUs with these and replaced all the other electronics with Warmouth parts.. WOW. The 54's sparkle, shimmer, and have tone out the wazzoo. Kind of low output compared to standard strat pickups, but worth the trade-off.

These sound absolutely fantastic. I have a standard American Strat and I was never quite happy with the sound. I replaced the standard pickups with these and now this is the guitar of my dreams! I can't say anything else except, Do Yourself A Favor! Invest in a set of these, you won't regret it!

If you're looking for classic rock'n roll tone, look no further. This is it! With the advent of replacement parts, many imitators have tried in vain for years to replicate that vintage sound-without too much success! Decades have gone by with,oh this will do for now-with a spate of people still looking for that elusive tone and NOT getting it! Not any more! Now you don't have to look on Ebay for old fender pickups someone has taken out of their guitar, only to see that they want a mint for them! Here's the answer to every fender fans prayers. The 50's sound without the hefty price! Now I'm not knocking any of the other people who use DiMarzio, scaller,or Seymour Duncan. But I personally prefer original equipment when ever possible, although I use Seymour Duncan. These are the closest I could get to original specs(restoration project)! But all in all I have nothing really bad to say about them except the direction of the pickup windings are incorrect vintage wise(original pickup windings go from left to right-not right to left)!
