Bought this so I'd have somewhere to place my guitar during an upcoming set of classes. Plus there's the convenience in taking something that folds up small and I like the idea of a shorter stand. I love the version for electric guitar because it was a perfect fit for my bass. This one I would've like better for my acoustics if it had adjustable foam pads on the bottom to keep it from sliding. It holds my Takamine with extra room left and my Ibanez thin body with even more room on the forks or lower contact points, so it's definitely not snug and I'm always afraid that my guitars might slip some. Fortunately I can also use it to hold my UBass which because of it's size and lower center of gravity doesn't slip out much at all. I got the stand here on sale at a great price so overall a great buy.

When I ordered this, I wasn't expecting something so solid and well built for that price. The cushion supports are great for protecting the guitar and the legs a just right. It wasn't a lightweight like I had expected, but quite heavy. This was purchased as a gift for my teenage daughter, so I am very pleased with it.
