Get a stronger head without anyone knowing the difference.

It's the same design as the standard Power Center head (See 443802 in customer purchases box), but with the center-reinforcement dot moved to the underside of the head.

Designed to add durability in the spot where the stick strikes it the most, the Power Center also adds focus to your sound. The coated, perforated, center-reinforced head still allows overtones to ring freely when struck on the edges. The head has an open, bright sound and creates a fat backbeat.

best head ive used. this is where its at

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

like the other review, ive tried many heads for my snare...i got new heads a few months ago and figured i would give this head a try. im running a ludwig supraphonic so i know itll sound great if i can tune it right. oh booyyy. i threw on a 400 hazy and this head. after a bit of tension and purchase of some puresound snare wires, my snare sounds amazing. i like a nice high pitch (little more than travis barker) so with that said, this head will withstand your heavist rocking at very high tensions. however i must say- if any of you wanna run this set up but record... it sounds great live but its WAY too much for studio use. if you do just use overhangs to pick up the snare or something. anyway. either way- this head is where its at

Excellent drum head

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

I've tried all the major company drum heads, most notably Remo ambassador, Remo emperor, Remo CS reverse dot, Aquarian TC and TC with dot, Attack medium coated, Evans dry, Evans G plus and Evans G1. The reverse dot is basically a G1 10 ml head with a 5 ml dot on the reverse side and for me, this is the best drum head that gets me the desired sound I want out of a snare drum which is a crisp, fat, focused pop at medium high top and bottom head tension with the snare wires fairly tight as well. I've used this head on cheap and expensive snare drums and it seems to be the most versatile out of all the druim heads. It's fairly durable and will still have some ring to it but that's a good thing, as long as it's not that obvious nasty, obnoxious sounding ring usually heard from crappy snare drums. Depending on the type of shell, some drums will ring more than others, but not too many undesired overtones when using this head at any tuning. A moon gel will take care of any undesired overtones or if a trigger is used on top of the head, it will muffle it somewhat also. After experimenting the past 15 years with various snare drum heads, I'm only buying the Evans reverse dot head from now on. The Evans power center with the dot on top of the head is a close second but I prefer the dot on the bottom so it's completely out of the way.
