Save big with Evans' special deal on EC2 SST Clear Drumheads. Buy the Evans 3-pack, with 12", 14", and 16" drumheads, and get a 10" Evans drumhead for free.

Evans EC2 SST Coated Batter Drumheads have an edge-control ring mounted under 2 plies of 7-mil film. The EC2 drumhead controls vibration instead of eliminating it. It also dampens higher overtones, enhances low-end attack, and supports a broader tuning range.

Evans EC2 Sound Shaping Technology (SST)
Evans' improved EC2 drumheads contain Evans' exclusive Sound Shaping Technology (SST). Sound Shaping Technology allows the drumheads to be fully optimized for each individual size by varying the thickness and density of the damping material, ensuring greatly improved performance and tone across the entire kit. Unlike other heads that lack SST, Evans EC2 heads have the ability to balance attack and tone for each size. The result is that the EC2 SST drumhead series is fine-tuned for attack, tone, length of sustain, and ease of tuning.

Comments about Evans EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack Buy 3 Get 1 Free:

I'm accustomed to using the Evans Hydraulic, have been using them since I started playing. Grew fond of the "thud" sound, but was getting bored with the lack of tone. So, I decided to move up a notch and bought the EC2s. I wasn't too thrilled about them at first, because of the sustain. Seemed a little too long for my style, like instead of moving up one notch, I had moved up 3, but with the help of some moongel, I have grown to enjoy everything about them. I play at church mostly and sometimes I'm forced to play quietly, which is difficult with hydraulics, but the EC2s make it more do-able.
