Nice sounding string. Not harsh at all. Make a very clear big sound. They feel great and play beautifully. I tune down to Drop B (B F# B E G# C#) and can easily tune to A or even Drop G!!!!

These strings are by far the best strings I have ever played on. The best part is that the G string is not wound! This makes it bend very nicely and very evenly. These strings provide a perfect crisp warm tone, which is a must for the perfect tone seakers. These strings are also the best string I have found to play SRV. They have that unmistakable THICK tone but yet are crystal clear. They can be warm and subtle, yet come back with a screaming bite. I highly recommend these strings to everyone who "tunes low, plays hard, and floors it!"

These strings are great for metal, i can tune them down to b-tuning without a problem also these wont buzz on my guitar like lighter gauge strings

I had been jumping around from different heavy string sets, Dean Markley, Fender, and at one point Gibson Flat-Wounds. I read a new products page in a guitar magazine and saw that Ernie Ball had released a 12-56 set. Before having gone up to heavy strings, I used mainly Ernie Balls, but their heaviest set up until now was never heavy enough for me. So I decided to try the things out. Wow! They have great volume, a nice crisp tone, not too "fuzzy" considering the size, and were perfect for SRV-esque bends. By far, the best set of strings I have ever owned.

I have this set on my PRS custom 24 and they're the best strings on the market. Good for standard tuning or drop tunings.
