I can't understand these guys that state "There just too bright". Why would someone complain about that, too bright is perfect for someone who is concerned with tone. These guys who are complaining must not have tone knobs on their guitars (some guitars don't of course). It's great actually being able to use the tone knob once and a while. As soon as these strings start to go sour and loose their bright sparkling tone I change them (every 3 weeks or so and before gigs). What rock or metal guitarist wouldn't want a string that stays bright, this is what made that brown sound of VH or Rhoads. For those who break strings easily, you have another problem, probably with your trem or bridge needing to be smoothed out where the strings touch which is a very common issue.

Good quality and cheap

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been playing for about a year and a half now, and I like to play a lot of blues and rock, so my strings go through a lot of bends and abuse. A friend recommended these to me, and for the price they're great. I haven't broken one yet, and I have to change them maybe once a month. They have great tone and bend real easy. So if you like to rock, don't have much cash, and don't want them to break, give these a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

To be honest I could never tell the difference between different types of strings but the second you put Ernie balls on your guitar its like a whole new instrument. Just don't change them in the cold, I think its the only thing that'll break them.

The best!!!

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been playing on Ernie Ball guitar strings for almost a year, and not one string broke. They are way better than the stuff that I have tried. At first I didn't like them because they were Ernie Ball strings and I didn't know what they were like. The guitar that I bought had Fender guitar strings and they broke like 2 weeks later. And alot of famous bands play on them Blink 182, All American Rejects, Sammy Hagar and more. If u want good guitar strings that wont break the second u get them I recommend these!!!

Best strings ever

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

I used to use several brands, and then someone told me about these, so I gave them a try. They are very bright sounding at first, but hold their tone WELL over a LONG time. I have been using these for about 10 years now, and yesterday was the first time I ever had one break on me. I like the overall feel of them. They sound great.

Very nice strings - buy 'em!

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

After playing on similarly-gauged GHS strings for a while, decided to give these a try. Had used the bigger gauge Balls on another guitar before and loved them.Compared to the GHS strings, these give more string feel. Helps with running up and down strings during scales. They are very easy to slide on too. The grooves on my fingertips might heal now. :)I noticed immediately was how well they stay in tune. Only a few were out of tune the day after putting them on. I'm loving that big time! They do sound a bit brighter than the GHS strings. In my case, it's a good thing... got rid of the muddiness on my neck pickup. Also straightened out some strange fluttering harmonics that sounded off on both pickups at the end of long high notes. They are a breeze to do bends on and still manage to stay in tune. Too cool! Was also able to lower my action a bit on some strings since some buzzing problems went away. Highly recommend these strings to anyone wanting a quality set of strings for a good price.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

People say D'Addario's are the best. Well, I guess that's true if you don't like to have any tone and like to have your strings break all the time. I've been using these for awhile and I LOVE them! They're really durable and they've got awesome tone. Switch from whatever you've got now to these. You see what I mean! =)

very stable in time

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are good ones as their original tone color lasts until you change them (every month). Of course their brightness slowly disappear but they continue being playable until the end. Also you can play quite many different styles with those as they are not as colored as DR strings for example. This gauge is kind of moderate one, not much attack, enough for me, but easy to bend.
