Finally, a coated set that offers plain strings the same deserving protection as wound strings!
This money saving 2-pack of Ernie Ball Slinky Acoustic Guitar Strings features patented coated Titanium RPS Technology that resists rust and grime for bright and powerful tone time after time.
Ernie Ball's titanium coated 2158 Slinky Acoustic Guitar strings are stronger and longer-lasting than traditional strings--either coated and uncoated strings. That's thanks in part to an exclusive protective coating on both the wrap wire and the plain strings as well as a patented winding of titanium wire around the lock twist of the ball end. Staying true to Ernie Ball's heritage of superb craftsmanship and sound quality, Slinky guitar strings are made with the finest and freshest raw materials, resulting in a crisp ringing sound with pleasing overtones.
Enhancing the inherent string quality and freshness is Ernie Ball's string packaging. Produced and hermetically sealed into their packages at Ernie Ball's desert headquarters in Coachella, CA, Slinky Acoustic Guitar strings are exposed to minimal moisture and humidity from factory to retailer--insuring that all Ernie Ball strings are as fresh upon opening as they were the day they were made.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2158 COATED SLNKY ACOU STRNGS LIGHT 2PK:
These are expensive but worth it. They have lasted me quite a deal longer than regular acoustic strings. The treatment put on the strings protect them from oxidizing and keep them playing fresh for quite some time. I normally will destroy and rust up a set of normal strings within a couple of days but it has been weeks and weeks since I have put these on and they are still bright and lively. Plus there is no tarnish or oxidation on the strings after playing them for quite a while. I think they're a great value because they should outlast several sets of normal strings.
