I don't know where to start with this thing. First off, the top is held on with a single ribbon. No hinges here. The stitching for the top is a little loose. The latches look like flimsy pot metal. Oh, and it doesn't have that tasteful "E" in the picture. It has a big, bold Epiphone logo. And the lid of the internal compartment feels like it's about to tear off. And there are sharp edges inside the case. There is very little padding material. The gray carpet sure looks nice, but it should be about three times as thick. Finally, it reeks of glue. I put dryer sheets in it. I put crumpled up newspaper in it. I even dumped baking soda all over the inside. Combined, they did almost nothing. I had to resort to multiple applications of extra-strength Febreeze to get the smell out. In short, this is just a dressed up chipboard case. To be fair, it is thick and made out of solid wood. That's the only thing going for it. I do believe this is the worst hardshell case I've ever come across. I compared this to my Martin dreadnought case that sells here for a little more. The comparison is laughable. The Martin case is excellent for its price. Unfortunately, the Martin is not an alternative to this case, as it fits entirely different guitars. But I must say, I'm sure you can find something better for your Epiphone.

Better Than Expected
Comments about Epiphone 335 Hardshell Guitar Case:
First off, for the $$ this case is the best bang for your buck for your 335 sryle axe. The covering is smooth synthetic covering a very sturdy case. You can tell by the weight of this case that it's sturdy, as the shipping weight is 19 pounds!
Asthetically, the case is very attractive as it has an arched top.
The hardware is a nickle type finish vs the brass usually encountered on a guitar case. I don't personally like the brass style hardware as it seems to tarnish quickly in Michigan's humid, wet conditions. The latches seem sturdy and one locks, however I question the need for a lock other than to keep your kids from opening the case, as it's easily defeated by anyone with serious intentions of getting it open.
The handle is padded, which is a nice touch. The interior has a ramped section which relieves the neck from bearing any weight. The headstock has no contact at all with the case interior. A 335 style guitar fits perfectly. The fit is snug and secure with no wriggling or rattling. I was prepaired for the "smell" noted by some other reviewers, however my case arrived and immediately passed the "sniff test" without any odors whatsoever.
I have a Gibson case for my acoustic, and this Epi case is far superior, for half the price! For a quality case at a fantastic price, I say "Epiphone nailed it dead center!"

Decent Value
Comments about Epiphone 335 Hardshell Guitar Case:
Bought for my recently purchased EPI DOT. Fit like a glove. Case seems to be fairly well made......Not as well built as some other brands but better built than many brands and the price is a good bit less. Did have to open the case up and let it air a few days before I put my guitar into it as the smell of glue or materials, was very strong. Once I let the case air, the smell seemed to be no more. Yes the case seems to be a good value, especially if you are on more of a budget.

Not bad
Comments about Epiphone 335 Hardshell Guitar Case:
I bought a similar Epiphone case several years ago, and I think I like that one better. I liked the Tolex covering better on that one. This one looks cheaper to me. I guess for the money it's alright.

Comments about Epiphone 335 Hardshell Guitar Case:
I have owned 335 style cases before, both Gibson and Epiphone , and must say this case is an improvement on the earlier ones. It feels stronger, and is much more attractive . There are more latches and they work smoother. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered this case with the Epiphone Dot I also ordered. The guitar was shipped in the case and that was great. It fit the guitar like a glove and I am very pleased.

Epiphone 335 Hardshell Case
Comments about Epiphone 335 Hardshell Guitar Case:
I bought this case because I needed a case for my newly purchased Epiphone Dot Deluxe. I first thought that this case would be a thin, cheap fiber-board thing that would just get me by. When I recieved the case, I couldn't hardly believe my eyes. It is a very, very, nice case and I am very proad to show it to my friends. It is every bit as good as other cases that I own which I have paid twice as much for.

excellent! big surprise
Comments about Epiphone 335 Hardshell Guitar Case:
The case pictured and described is not the case I received. I have a casino from 6 years ago and it came in that case. This model is so far superior I was surprised.Smooth leather like Tolex, 5 latches all around, 1 locking latch, chromehardware, leather covered handle, improved hinges and the fit is perfect for my new Epi dot(SKB was to small).

Good case, No integral lock
Comments about Epiphone 335 Hardshell Guitar Case:
Nice case. Supports my Dot Deluxe very well. Gray fuzzy inside. Must be a newer model, no integral lock or key. Has a little hasp to attach a luggage type key or combo lock, which I think is actually better. Good case for the money. Fit and finish is excelent.
