I was afraid to buy this thing after reading the description...over the top, raunchy, crazy mids is not my thing. Fortunately, that's not what I hear when I play through this speaker. I hear creamy, beautiful, harmonically rich distortion oozing out of the cabinet. It's got a good clean sound...but I'd say it's specialty is getting the crunch/overdrive/turbodrive thing going. I have a Blackheart Little Giant that (even at top volume) never quite reached the mountain top in the overdrive dept. The Governor adds some early speaker break-up, and harmonic complexity to the mids, that compliments the Little Giant perfectly. Finally, I can actually use my Little Giant. Very Satisfied.

There is no doubt this 75 watt 12 inch guitar loudspeaker is the future of the industry with a huge magnet on the back to give maximum efficiency and very loud air movement. The mid response is shaped like a Celestion V30 but the sound is better in my opinion. American made, not Chinese like Celestions.What more needs to be said?
