Tight low end, indestructable, LOUD!

By Max

from Tillamook, OR

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

The Texas Heat by Eminence is one of the best deals going for high-wattage replacement speakers. The build quality is excellent and the tone is crisp, tight, and reproduces low-end frequencies and 'chunk' faithfully. My only beef is that the TH is so strong that it's not easy to break in, so the tone out of the box is overly tight, lacking tactile squishiness. It gets better after a good long break-in period...don't worry about hurting this speaker, because you would go deaf long before that would happen. This may not be a good choice for small club gigs, since it has to be driven hard to give its best tone, and this speaker is LOUD LOUD LOUD.

Texas Tone to the Bone!

By el84nr

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

Great speaker with good bass response. I thought it might be a little too midrangy, but with my 1x12 Coyote cabinet, it sounds fantastic. I play southern rock and blues, and this speaker works great with my Fender and Laney amps.

Versatile and excellent

By Carlton Hobbs

from Dallas

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

Is about as versatile as a speaker can get. It is Fat with tremendous bass, a crisp mid range, smooth treble. It makes my 1x12 sound like my 4x12. It sounds great for Fender, Marshall, and even high gain Mesa sounds. The only thing I wouldn't recommend this for is if you want very thick midrange from a speaker like a Greenback, and cannot get it from your amp.

Great tone

Comments about Eminence Patriot Texas Heat 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:

I put a Texas Heat in my Marshall 601 when the Celestion blew out. The Texas Heat woke my old workhorse back up. I have more headroom on the clean channel and still get a nice breakup when I crank the OD channel. The customer service also seems good. I had a couple questions I emailed them about and received answers within hours. All in all I am proud to put my "Eminence Inside" badge (which comes with the speaker) on my Marshall.
