Swamp Thang is a Monster!
Comments about Eminence Patriot Swamp Thang 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:
Great speaker. Tons of tight low end, perfect for metal chugging. Great sound with pronounced mids and rolled highs...the highs are still there, but they're smoother. I would definitely buy it again.

Great Speaker
Comments about Eminence Patriot Swamp Thang 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:
I put these in my Fender Blues Jr., Vox AC30CC2 and Vox V212BN. These are very efficient speakers, meaning they will sound louder. They took the harsh highs and rounded them out, giving the amps a great full, fat sound. All the treble response is still there, but now it's balanced out with a full bass, that can become crushing when run with some gain. If you love Celestion's bright sound and/or turn your bass way down, stay away from these. If you want a full sound to an amp that you love, with more volume, more bass, balanced mids and round highs then these are for you. They fit jazz, blues, fusion, metal very well.

These speakers scare me
Comments about Eminence Patriot Swamp Thang 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:
The sound is huge, like the Titanic. I tried one in my Deluxe clone, and it sounded very nice. I then tried it with a Governer in my Twin, and it is a tsunami of sound. The Swamp Thang is actually perceptibly much louder than the Governer. Overdrives early, yet remains amazingly articulate. It seems to really like a higher watt push.

SOoo much attack...
Comments about Eminence Patriot Swamp Thang 12" 150W Guitar Speaker:
I replaced the Celestion G12 Vintage 30's in my Boogie cab with these speakers, cuz after all, not everyone wants to sound like it's still the 70's! These have the greatest attack, especially when driven hard. Every pick stroke is clear as day. Harmonics jump out of these speakers, sustain is otherworldly, midrange responds nicely, and bottom end is VERY punchy. They sound great clean and very affordable!
