Elixir

Last 3 to 5 times longer than uncoated strings.

Elixir Nanoweb wound acoustic guitar strings are sheathed in a thin polymer coating that retains a natural feel while protecting the windings from the gunk that shortens their life and ruins tone. The coating gives them a smoother feel and reduces finger squeaks. 12-53.

Great sound. They feel good. And they last a long time. Order your Elixirs today.

Worth a couple extra bucks

By Max

from Tillamook, OR

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've been playing for more than 40 years, and using Elixer nanos ever since they came out (and the polys before that), and as advertised, the phosphor bronze version does give me a much warmer and more balanced tone on my Larrivee L-series. As to longevity, I've never had any trouble in that regard with Elixers, although I'm noticing fraying of the coating in the area over the sound hole after only a few days, where I usually note this only after a couple weeks or so...GORE, TAKE NOTE! I hope this fraying is an anomoly (only reason I didn't give 5 stars), because I really like the way these sound and play.

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Long lasting, very nice, bright sounding strings, highly recommended. These last much longer and sound much better than any Martin or Addario strings I have used, coated or not coated you can not beat Elixir

Amazing longevity

By Behringer fan

from Fargo, ND

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I originally put these on my Taylor 414 as part of a case study for Elixir. I had the strings on my guitar from Jan - Mar for 7 live shows of 4 hours each plus practice time in between. I never wiped them down after a show and never cleaned them. The bass player in our group could not believe that they were the same strings I had on for 3 months. The brilliance and bright and balanced tone never faded. Plus the coating helps them stay in tune because they don't 'stick' in the ivory nut on my Taylor. There was a slight peeling of the Nanoweb coating after 3 months which is similar with other Elixer Nanoweb coated strings I've tried. I used to use D'Addario EXP Acoustic strings because they are less expensive but the extra tone and longevity you get out of these Elixir strings is well worth the extra money. A great product!

Greatest Strings!

By David Hudgins

from Blacksburg, VA

Comments about Elixir Nanoweb Light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have been playing the acoustic guitar for 40 years and these are by far the best strings I've used. I play a Gibson Hummingbird and a Gibson J-50, and these have a very bright, expressive sound that lasts for months. After a brief "break- in" period of about a week, the sound is great and lasts much, much longer than non coated strings. And the Phosphor Bronze strings have an even better sound than the original Light Bronze. Definately worth the extra money!
