Elixir Acoustic Guitar Strings are covered with an ultrathin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone!

Nanoweb coating permits strings with the feel, bright tone, and punch of traditional guitar strings. Elixirs are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years and they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

Most players report that Elixir Strings keep sounding great 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary strings.

Comments about Elixir Medium Nanoweb Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I don't like paying $12-$15 for a set of guitar strings ....... but ....... Elixirs do last 2 or 3 times longer than regular strings for me, and they have a sound that I like. I like fresh "new sounding" strings and Elixirs sound fresh for a long time for me. I use NanoWebs on 3 different guitars. My big bodied guitars sound better to my ear with 80/20s and my 000 likes Phosphor Bronze. I was a John Pearse disciple for years but found myself changing strings daily at festivals so sampled the coated strings from the top 3 or 4 companies and found Elixirs to be brighter, longer lasting, and had the best feel. I still occasionally try other coated strings and I'm always disappointed.
