EH markets few tubes, but the ones they do are selected well. As 12AX7's go, there are many to choose from. The EH is a good choice. It has a very smooth and clear voicing. It is neither "chimy" nor harsh and fizzy. The filament, plate, and other components are well designed and placed within the tube showing great care. The end result once in the amp is very noticable and a welcome change from many other tubes that lack the clarity the EH model provides.

All tubes were correct and functioned very well. Packing of order was one of the worst I'd ever seen for a tube order. Individual tube boxes were thrown in the bottom of the box. Packing tossed in over them. Upon arrival, all tubes were banging into each other in the box. One tubeis microphonic but functions well. Great order processing. Packing needs work.

I replaced the stock Sovtek 12ax7-WC in my Hartke GT60 head with this 12ax7-EH and noticed an immediate improvement. The EH just seems smoother and more full sounding to me. I think it sounds great and would recommend it to a friend.
