great picks

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Standard Guitar Picks:

I love them. I' m a lead guitar player and I tend to do alot of melodies and soloing so I went with the 1.0mm and I love them. the don't slip, they are sturdy, and I will probably use the same pick for a while before I will have to pick up another one.

Best there is!

By heres2u

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Standard Guitar Picks:

Whatever these are made of they are simply the best for either acoustic or electric. I have tried other brands that scuff the finish on guitars, because whatever they are made out of leaves marks. But these Dunlop Tortex picks do not seem to mar or leave marks. I use the orange for a nice bright and airy acoustic sound with my acoustics and I use the yellow for my electrics. The initial satin finish just feels good, and the available thicknesses seem spot on for my purposes. They feel like a natural extension of my fingers. Also, my daughter who is big into turtles and tortises, likes to collect the ones I leave lying around, because of the logo on them!

1.14mm picks are great!

By Jake

from Buffalo, NY

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Standard Guitar Picks:

I play bass. For the most part, I use my fingers (the basslines that I have written for the most part are Iron Maiden style galloping lines). But there are a few songs that NEED a pick to play... So I always trust Tortex. I have the extra heavy 1.14mm picks, and they are perfect for the bass. I will never use another pick again!

Great Pick

By GuitarMan

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Standard Guitar Picks:

This pick works very well. It stays like it's supposed to, and won't fall out of your hand. The only downside is that it is not good with picksliding. Use a Dunlop Nylon pick for that.

best picks ever

By scott-MGc4G

from Westminster, CO

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Standard Guitar Picks:

These are my favorite picks. I've been using them for over 10 years. The texture is not too slippery. Even when my hands get sweaty they stay in place. Tortex is very hard to tear (particularly medium grade that I use). Can play hard and fast without breaking picks, but they still bend to give the nice soft tone I'm going for.

They stay in place

By Gary R.

from Morro Bay, CA

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Standard Guitar Picks:

The finish on these picks was a pleasant surprise...not glossy, not rough, just a sort of matte finish that gives surprisingly good grip. There's much less tendency for them to wander out of place between your fingers. I've only tried the 73mm so far, which is a nice 'medium', but will try others. It's nice not having to have some sort of traction material on the pick to have it stay put.

Awww dude ive been playing round 5 years and ive been searching for years, at first I used fender california picks but i noticed they sliped live and always then to fender premium picks but something was still wrong, then at a gig I met the guitarist backstage and he gave me a Dunlop tortex green he used I from then knew this was the type of pick im gunna use, but it was a green .75mm type so i went up to 1mm (blue)nd i havent used another since and i have for 2 years amazing pick, its smooth but DOESNT SLIP live. get this pick

Best picks around

By Tony

from Arizona

Comments about Dunlop Tortex Standard Guitar Picks:

These picks rock!! It take a long time for them to wear down and and are worth their weight in gold (as far as picks go)...get 'em!! The .50mm (red) are great for worship/soft time mucic, the .60mm are great for praise/faster music and the 1.14mm I use for the bass guitar (when needed).
