I use the black ones because they are slightly stiffer for faster picking. These picks are small and do not fumble over the strings. They're perfect for sweep picking and pinch harmonics. Greatest picks I've ever used.

Now, these are great picks when it comes to accuracy and speed. The black is a bit more stiff while the red is a bit more flexible. I switched from standard picks to these and have been exclusively using Jazz III's for around a year. For trem picking and alternate picking it gets no better. There's no wasted energy from the pick bending and it goes right where you want it to. They even work well for playing chords (though I prefer the red if I'm going to be playing more chords). Plus, they don't wear. If you have trouble gripping them, just take a lighter and burn the top just a bit. The reason I'm starting to use these less is this, they don't project out as much as standard picks. While they're good for accuracy and speed, I can get the same results with my regular picks now that I've gone up to .80mm. I still use them from time to time, but I've gone to using the III for my metal and my standard picks for other styles. Overall, great picks. But just be sure not to get caught in the hype and stick with what works for you.

I just bought them just to try them and there is no turning back. Because it has a sharper edge than others. it lets me play the strings without too much recoil of my hand. Its very well constructed and has very good durability. I was using the Dunlop Blackline 73, and at first, these were a little bit odd cause its smaller than regular picks but once you get the hang of it, you're playng will be much cleaner.

This is by far my favorite pick, and i've only used it for a day! FENDER picks don't stand a chance. The tone from this pick is awesome, and the sharp point allows for fast, accurate playing. Works great for those fret-melting solos. I have been using FENDER picks but starting tomorrow I think I'll be giving those away. I played HEAVY with this all day and it shows no signs of wear (I even chew on the dang thing) FENDERs usually round off and start to sound bland after half this much use. I give it 10 stars! for anyone looking to improve or who really wants to shred, GET THIS PICK! (if u like a more "flexi" pick go with red. I go with the black STIFFOs because they are heavier and I prefer a heavy pick for fast, accurate playing)

I don't know what to say about these picks other than they are the best. I think it's the point because there is virtually no resistance and they make speed picking a breeze. I always wondered how Michael Angelo gets his killer articulate tone and now I know why. They're super small to so they don't feel cumbersome like most picks do. I understand that they aren't gonna be for everyone but all the people I know that use then love 'em.

This is without a doubt the best guitar pick that I have ever used. Believe me, I have bought and tried almost everything available. I initially discovered these picks after hearing that both Shawn Lane (RIP) and Eric Johnson used them.These picks will definitely help improve a guitarist's picking accuracy and increease picking speed. I prefer the red Jazz III picks because they give a smoother feel and tone over the black Stiffo ones. They also last forever and are thusly cost effective; one pick can last through many months of intense 3-5 hour practice sessions- I've never found another pick that can do this. Try them, you will never look back!

I've used Jazz IIIs for years. They were the first pick i didnt melt and they do improve your accuracy / speed etc. They do not bend like other picks do so you hit the string when you expect. When you think how fast your brain works, those milliseconds make a big difference to getting sharp, clean notes. Brilliant for metal/rock rhythm as well. Just buy them, you wont regret it. If you dont like them you have wasted a buck or two.
