Comments about Dunlop 475 Big Stubby Guitar Picks:
My favorite pick overall. I do sometimes use thinner picks for acoustic stuff, but these are my absolute go to pick for anything rock.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great picks!
Comments about Dunlop 475 Big Stubby Guitar Picks:
These picks definitely do the job for shredders and any one who plays lots of fast licks. However, that's not the only thing these picks are good for. They give a nice tone to the guitar. Smooth attack, and when I record, I usually do not hear the attack at all, just the way I like it. Very clean playing, but not as effective with strumming if you're using the 3.0mm. Overall, amazing picks.

Like them more than I thought I would
Comments about Dunlop 475 Big Stubby Guitar Picks:
Pretty cool to be honest. I just started getting into thicker picks the last 3 years and I suppose that this was the logical progression. They cut right through the string and if you are thrashing around they do really well. Playing lightly makes the tone a bit brighter and tighter which is good sometimes, sometimes it's too much. I like them for high gain stuff to keep the notes articulate, but the dimple wasn't the easiest thing to get used to. Great picks, I've been using them almost exclusively now, but I'll probably end up going back to my tortex jazzIII's at some point.

The only pick for bass
Comments about Dunlop 475 Big Stubby Guitar Picks:
Nice and thick with a great indented grip. Perfect for bass. I use the 2mm, but I would suggest getting a 6 pack of each 1, 2 and 3. Each have different feels and uses and the price is great.

never another pick...ever
Comments about Dunlop 475 Big Stubby Guitar Picks:
The Big Stubby gives me perfect control. A floppy pick feels sloppy to me, even the thickest Tortex or plain vinyl are still too flexible. There is absolutely no flex in the Stubby. The 3mm Stubby was and is the answer to my dark prayers. I have big hands and I play heavy strings (12's) plus I play metal that is highly technical. I have to beat up my strings but still find each one in short time. The bottom line is I will always use Stubby 3mm picks as long as I play. For thirteen years I have used only Big Stubbies. I know I sound like a corporate mouthpiece but I would say the same about all products that are beyond my expectations. Never another pick...ever

great attack
Comments about Dunlop 475 Big Stubby Guitar Picks:
I started picking with celluloid picks that would always chip. I started using heavy picks that would soon round off at the tips. These picks last and have great attack for cross picking and sweep picking. I drill a small hole in the center of pick and keep one on my keychain. I can't tell you how many times that pick has bailed me out when I forget or lose a pick.Try these picks.

Greatest for my kind of playing
Comments about Dunlop 475 Big Stubby Guitar Picks:
I got hooked on these picks years ago, but until now have not been able to find them except at festivals. I would usually stock up, but alas who can not lose their favorite pick? I play bluegrass and gospel guitar and these are just the best picks for me. Glad to find a source other than festivals. It's great to be able to go online and find special items like my favorite pick.
