Normally, I don't use DR strings so I thought I'd try these. I haven't used the Xtra's yet, but the other 2 sets both had a bad "D" string. Placed on my Gibson Les Paul Custom and on my Squier Classic Vibe Duo Sonic resulted in the D string on both 'buzzing'. I tried cleaning the strings, checking the nut and saddle as well as the truss rod and all were OK. I think I may have gotten a bad batch of strings. Beyond that, they sound OK, but nothing exceptional.

I purchased the 3-pack for my PRS customer 22 10 top and my B.C. Rich Warlock with passive EMGs. I am very impressed with DR strings. The coated pack were black in color, which went great with my black B.C. rich and they last a long time. The DR Pure Blues strings are truly excellent strings and I would recomment them to anyone.
