I can't complain about this stand. It is well built and it works great for my recording and live application purposes. I use it to mic amps and classical guitar as well as other stringed instruments. It is sturdy and you can adjust in many ways. Just be careful not to pull out the middle section too far I heard that might become a problem. I would actually give it 4 and a half stars because I know nothing beats the K&M stands.

Upon removing the stand from its box, it was instantly apparent that this is a very well built product. It's very sturdy, has a nice finish, and is clearly well manufactured. It's a little heavier than I expected, but I suppose that goes with the quality. It feels nothing like a typical cheapo stand. As for practical applications, this mic stand is the perfect size for my purposes - seated position with an acoustic guitar, recording and live. I previously used a full sized stand, but it was cumbersome and took up too much space on stage.
