This pickup is something you have to spend some time with. It has a very different tone to what I am used to, but it is not bad. It reminds me of an EMG 85 in some ways, but it has the good passive feel that I was looking for. SENSITIVE too, so if you play sloppy, you will now hear all your mistakes better. Use good strings or it will show that you bought cheep ones.

This pickup is excellent! It has the clarity/crunch combo DiMarzio is noted for. It is high output, so you don't need to crank your gain which can compromise your tone. DiMarzio also gives good wiring information on their website so it is easy to install, and they are a customer friendly company. This pickup is capable of so much. A must have for any 7 string guitarist!
