DiMarzio

The most dramatic tone curve of the Modern Classic humbuckers.

The vowel-like open wah-wah feel of the PAF Pro and FRED is combined with tremendous midrange and bass for a sound that really kicks hard. Because the lows, mids, and highs are all boosted, using a Tone Zone feels like cranking up an extra set of tone controls. It adds further dimension to the sound of your amp - that elusive edge that can make a good-sounding rig into a great-sounding one. Notes seem to get bigger after they're picked, and burn hard as they sustain. It's the right stuff to wake up your amp. Ballsy, aggressive tone has plenty of drive in all the right frequencies, abundant gain to push preamps and power amps, and sensitivity to pick attack that gets the most out of any style from metal to blues. Hot enough to qualify as a high-output pickup but with a wider dynamic range. Hard picking will produce a lot of power and softer picking will be much cleaner and quieter.

Tone Zone

Comments about DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup:

This is a hot little pickup, Mounted it in bridge position as sugested by DiMarzio and put an AirNorton in the neck position. Great tone, low noise and it cranks too. I get nice thumb harmonics out of it. With the Air Norton its a nice combo, Im totally happy with the buy. I also installed DiMarzios 500k pots when these were put in and love those, theyre a great upgrade.

Comments about DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup:

I recently put this pickup and the Air Norton into a Epi Zakk Wylde Camo, I must say that this is a very good combination. I think that this is a versitile pickup, you can use it for rock, blues or Metal. i am very satisfied with the sound. I would recomend this pick up. You can find a lot of video reviews of this pick up on the internet, they helped me decide on whether or not to go for this combination or not.

Lovin the Tone

Comments about DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup:

I swapped an Dimarzio Evolution out for the Tone Zone in the bridge of my swamp ash strat and what a difference. The pickup added some much needed bass to the mix. It has serious nuts, but because its on the low end for output, requires a bit more effort for pinch harmonics. I am up in the air of whether or not I like this pickup over the Super Distortion. I have another Strat that has a SD. Side by side, they are similar. Taking under consideration guitar characteristics just imagine the super distortion with a better mid-range. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for swamp ash bodies.

Comments about DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup:

I paired this p-up with the Air Norton in the neck of my Schecter c-1+. The difference is amazing. Awesome tone both distorted and clean. Sounds great even with the coil tap. Worthy upgrade.

Best Pickups Out There

By jm_patton

Comments about DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup:

I had a custom guitar made for me, EVH style guitar. I let the builder put in some "Custom Wound" pickups for me. When I got the guitar, I hated it. I put an AIr Norton in the Neck and a Tone Zone in the bridge and now I will never get rid of this guitar. It sounds perfect. Perfect Tone. You cant go wrong with these pickups, there is a reason EVH, Vai, and others use them

Great Bridge position pickup

By Jonny5.0

from Chatham Ontario, Canada

Comments about DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup:

If you want a pickup that has rich tone, great response and good sound, this is what you want. I replaced my stock pickup in my Idol with this and the AirNorton in the Neck position and my guitar just came to life. I wanted a pickup with more bass and higher output and this one did just that. There is nothing bad about this pickup.

One of the best ever! A+++

By Matt-Q9HsZ

from OKC, OK

Comments about DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup:

This is truly one of the greatest pickup I've ever heard. I put it in my Jag-Stang and it totally blew my head off. The overtones and harmonix kick and frequency response is amazing. This pickup easily rivals the Duncan Invader in features. I recommend this awesome pickup to anyone who wants amazing power and tone from a humbucker.
