Keeps your drop-tuned sound crystal clear!
7-string guitars are hard to amplify. Most players tune the seventh string to a low B (or even A) and it's a real trick to get a big, solid tone from the other strings without the seventh turning to mud. Blaze humbuckers solve the problem by tuning the 2 coils to different frequencies. Low notes are fat and highs are bright and clean. Recommended for the bridge position.
The Blaze is designed with a scooped midrange to keep the low seventh string as bright and open-sounding as possible. Chords are very clean and even heavy overdrive retains a lot of definition.

Comments about DiMarzio Blaze 7-String Bridge Pickup:
These pickups have a very clean tone that doesnt have too much roundness but even tuned to G on my ibanez prestige notes show clearly through the heaviest distortion i can coax out of my peavey triplexxx. On clean the bridge pickup sounds very bright while the neck pickup cleans up with a very round tone that is far better than any i have heard before. these pickups can actually be played in conjunction(bridge and neck together with full power to each) the sound is a perfect mix of round and bright with a very jazzy feel good for chords. etc. the only bad thing about this pickup was the installation because it is slightly taller than the original v7/v8 in my ibanez. but routing a small bit wasnt really a problem. i suggest these pickups for anyone who would like their 7 string to sound better. and also clean up very well(unlike emgs)
