Bring your bass to life with a new set.
Oh yeah bass players! The Dean Markley SR2000 is one hot string! Taper-wrapping at the bridge allows SR2000s to vibrate more easily and longer. Their tone is unbelievable! They growl, they pop, they sing, they practically play themselves.

Comments about Dean Markley 2688 SR2000 Light Bass Strings:
First let me start out by saying that these strings are amazing! My sound and playing style is based on the top Jazz bassists such as Victor Wooten, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, or Ricc Fierebracci. I also play most rock styles in the band I currenntly play in. A lot of musicians don't realize how much the quality of string matters regardless of intrument. Since I cover alot, I needed a string that got everything from bright and snappy, to fat and punchy, to deep and boomy, the mellow tone from the 50's and 60's, and everything in between. As far as the guage of the string, I generally use lighter ones, but for me 40-95 are a bit too thin and sound somewhat tinny when I add more high end. 45-105 are too thick and they feel too stiff. Anyway, with these (44-98) they get all the tones very well, and the taper-winding makes the tone so much more vibrant. this unusual scale is so versatile for fingerstyle, slaping, tapping, and harmonics, and bending. So, if you are looking for unmatched tone and feel, buy these! You WON'T regret it !!!
