Reliable Strings

By Jack James

from California

Comments about Dean Markley 2554 Blue Steel Custom Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are reliable, and they have pretty bright tone. However, even though it is said that they are custom light, I really do not think so. They are not the best strings you can get for sure, but good for the price.

used these for 10 years

Comments about Dean Markley 2554 Blue Steel Custom Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I bought these for my hubby, who has used these particular strings for 10 years now. He had recently tried cleartones and elixirs, but has come right back to the blue steels. He uses stainless due to his very sweaty hands that will rust nickel strings very fast. The custom gauges on these are great if you like to have 9's on the top for easy bending and the thicker ones on the bottom for a heavier bass end. He hasn't found any other strings that meet both these needs for him, ie. custom gauges + stainless.
