A 12-pack of vintage tones, punch, and power.

Dean Markley Vintage Electric Guitar Reissue Strings are nickel-plated steel hand-wound slowly over a round core. The outer string wrap has 100% contact with the core wire. This allows the string to vibrate completely for maximum sustain, creating a warm, full sound distinctive of classic rock and roll.

Dean Markley 1973 Vintage Reissue Electric Guitar Strings are made to the same exacting specs as the original Vintage Electric strings that won the hearts of players around the world. The combination of outer wrap alloy, special round cores, and core-to-wrap ratios make these strings sing with power and punch. Long life is just a bonus.

Comments about Dean Markley 1973 Vintage Reissue Electric Guitar Strings 12-Pack:

When I was in high school in the late '70's, my best friend at the time Lloyd recomended what were then new the strings with the cool labels, Dean Markeley. They weren't as expensive as some, sounded really nice, and stayed in tune as well as Fender or Ernie Ball. Also, if like us you lived in a rural environment, the countryish cartoon drawn labels were in line with where you did most of your playing - living rooms, barns, in a field with a generator, kids, dogs, Hippies and teenagers all dancing around. So when these recently resurfaced I quickly bought four sets - for sentimental reasons for sure - but also I knew these guys put out good strings anyway, although I never bought into the whole cryogenic concept, and found the labels unatractive. Whether they sounded this good back then I can't say, but I'd put them up against anything out there. Not as zingy as Boomers, more chimey like D'Adario or Fender. Beautiful sound, durable, and stay in tune real, real well. And again, the coolest labeling is always a plus. We need more home-spun and organic atttitude in the world these days anyway. Thank you for your feedback!

Comments about Dean Markley 1973 Vintage Reissue Electric Guitar Strings 12-Pack:

Someone suggested that I try these strings earlier this year as I was a regular user of DR Tite Fits. I tried them and they are amazing. They last forever, they are also round core, the feel is very good and they have a nice punchy tone. You CANNOT GET a better string for the money.
