Special EXP coating extends string life dramatically without losing that natural feel!
Gauges: .011-.015-.026-.040
An ultrafine layer of EXP Coating is bonded to the 80/20 bronze wrap wire, then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. They offer natural round wound feel and will sound fresh and bright 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.
Genuine phosphor bronze alloy retains flexibility as well as brilliant tone for many hours of hard play. Computer-controlled wrapping around a hex core ensures consistency and extends life. Many top players won't play any other brand.
D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

Best on the market
Comments about D'Addario EXP74 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Mandolin Strings:
These are, IMO, the best mandolin strings around. They last extremely long compared to other strings and sound great. Good loud chop, and very even. Buy this set!

Consistent High Performers
Comments about D'Addario EXP74 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Mandolin Strings:
I alternate between these and the elixir polyweb medium. To my ears there is not a lot of difference. These strings last a long time (~6 months of fairly regular playing/recording) and have a nice full tone. They are not particularly "biting" - which for me is good. On my Eastman mando they sometimes rattle a bit when new, take a whiles to play them in and then they settle down. I have no complaints.
