Special coating extends string life dramatically!
Gauges: 13-17-26-35-45-56.
EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario strings. Here is how it works: An ultra-fine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is cross-linked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.
D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.
Features
They retain their brilliance long after similar bronze and brass alloy strings go dead. Don't wait for catastrophe, order several sets today.

Great sound, but a tad too hard
Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I've always been the guy that laughed when someone say that their guitar strings hurt. Well, in winter, I refuse to play these. I'll bleed if I play a fast song. BUT, I do use these in the summertime, because they sound so darn good. Nice and warm. Plus, they last a very long time.

Great strings
Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I've used these strings for a long time now and they're a good set. I go back and forth between these and the GHS Infinity Bronze. I like the bass strings on these better, but I like the mids and trebles better on the GHS. I like the long life of these strings, the metallic coating on the EXP's doesn't hinder the sounds like the waxy coating on Elixir's does. If you want coated strings, these are the way to go.

Great strings, great ballance of tone.
Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:
strings have a nice even balance of tone from string to string. On my Tak they have a nice bright tone without being too bright or too "twangy". If you finger pick a lot they have an excellent response with a good sustained ring. I tried the EXP16 lights and really liked them but they slapped a bit too much if I strummed them too hard. Since I mainly strum I went to the EXP17's. The heavier base strings solved my problem without adding too much more stress on the fingers. Long lasting playability. The coating reduces the "scratch" caused from sliding fingers down the strings. I really like these strings and I think you will too.

very good strings
Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:
These strings came on my Takamine acoustic and I didn't realize how good they were until I switched strings. These strings have a great mellow tone. Get them.

Better Then Elixer
Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:
I have used these strings in performances and love their long lasting playability. They are more responsive than the Elixer's by far and sound much better to me.
