Tried many different sets on my Hofner short scale bass and these are the ticket. Better than the Hofner strings by a long shot. Better sustain, the iffy intonation of the Beatle bass is significantly improved and it stays in tune substantially better. Some short scale strings do not work at all on Hofner basses, these are like magic.

I put these strings on my Rogue VB100 to replace the less than stellar strings that came with the guitar. These strings gave the guitar a whole new sound that far surpassed the sound of the original strings. I am most pleased and would recommend these strings.

The difference is like day and night. Short scale strings are wound tighter.. Just think of really stretching a long scale string over a short scale neck it just does'nt make sense. The sound is sharper not muddy it just really POPS. I was going to sell the EB-O and keep my EB-3 but now It's is a gigging bass. It great after doing 2 gig back to back for those last two sets.
