Comments about D'Addario EXL220BT Balanced Tension 40-95 Long Scale Electric Bass String Set:
I have played hard rock for the last 37 years. I have always used strings in the 45-105 range, since that is generally what you find in the local music store shelves, and also was always suggested as the right guage for rock.
I was looking for strings for a Stingray I recently traded for and put on a standard guage set of cobalts, They just didnt feel right or sound right. ( I have used them exclusively since they came out). Saw the D'addario Balanced Tension set listed in a 40-95 guage and decided to give them a try. Definitely brought this bass to life :great feel, sound and sustain. Will be buying them again.
