Silky feel, brilliant tone, and incredible string life.

Gauges: 12-16-25-33-43-53

Cleartone Acoustic Strings feature the finest phosphor bronze available for the warmest and brightest resonance on acoustic guitars. A unique treatment called EMP coats the entire string with an ultrathin protective film. It's the thinnest coating ever applied to guitar strings (less than one micron!) and will withstand more abuse from hard strumming than coatings 1000 times thicker! EMP ensures longer string life by protecting strings from corrosion due to skin acidity, salt, and moisture without compromising feel and sound.

Super-high tension winding over a hex-core is used to maintain tuning consistency throughout performance duration.

Features

  • Thinnest coating ever!
  • Dramatically increases string life
  • Protects strings from corrosion
  • Withstands hard strumming

This is high-tech you don't have to understand to appreciate. Order a few sets today.

Great tone that lasts and lasts

By Will

Comments about Cleartone Coated Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Cleartone strings really do sound great, and they keep that great tone for a long, long, time (after nearly a year) because the micro-thin coating withstands heavy pick usage and it doesn't feel slippery or flake off like the competition's. I had previous tried one set of Elixir Nanoweb strings, which felt slippery and had a thick coating that dulled the tone and flaked off in chunks after a few months. I have converted all of my guitars to Cleartones, and Ive even used a set of Cleartone electric strings on a banjo.

Not as good as Elixir!!!

By Troll

Comments about Cleartone Coated Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've had Cleartone phos/bronze extra lights on my Alvarez AJ-60CS for about 2 months which is how long I usually leave Elixirs on. The Cleartones lost their tone much sooner than the Elixirs, getting very tinny with loss of sustain and brilliance. True to claim, though, they play much better initially than Elixirs and don't shed their coating. The initial tone was terrific! Very brilliant. But you can get that much cheaper in a non-coated string. I play daily throughout the day at different times. I buy coated strings cuz I don't like to have to wipe down the strings after every session. Elixirs have always performed well for me up to the 2 month limit. I treated the Cleartones the exact same way. For the cost they are just not worth it IMHO. If you want coated strings cuz they last longer with less maintenance then go with Elixirs. Othersise, buy any of the myriad of other non-coated strings out there.
